Technical Advisory for Equipment Purchasing
Service objective
- To provide an independent technical perspective before investing in or reorganising laboratory equipment, helping laboratories, research centres and companies make sound purchasing decisions, avoid investment mistakes, reduce future technical downtime, and optimise the equipment’s useful life.
What it consists of
- Technical advisory via video call with a technical director or laboratory instrumentation specialist, with extensive experience in maintenance, calibration and qualification of equipment. Format: a personalised technical video call lasting a minimum of 1 hour, with a minimum booking of 2 hours: one hour of discussion and one hour for preparing the personalised proposal in Excel. During the session, the laboratory’s type of activity, sample volume, required level of automation and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, GLP) are analysed; specific equipment needs are identified (autoclaves, balances, incubators, biological safety cabinets, centrifuges, rotary evaporators, etc.), and brands are recommended based on reliability, spare-parts availability, technical service coverage in Spain, and life-cycle cost. Following the session, a summary technical report is delivered with the diagnosis, recommended equipment and brands, and the calibration, qualification and preventive maintenance plans.
